Playing with dead trees is super fun. As long as there are trees being planted to replenish what we cut down! Donate to #TeamTrees HERE: we are getting close to our goal of 20,000,000 trees donated by 2020! Team Trees and the Arbor Day Foundation will make sure 20,000,000 million trees are planted and cared for around the world by 2022.
In this video Ill be showing how I built a woodworking table for my shop. I wanted a table that could conserve space, be partially made from scraps I have from other projects, AND have room enough for a miter saw and a table saw. All said and done, the main portion of the table was about 8 feet one inch long, and 35 inches tall. the side table added about another 2 feet to the length. The measurements all depend on the size of your tools.

  • I think the biggest sin you made, was not the caster wheels (those looked great as a matter of fact), but that particle board you decided to use. That crap falls apart over anything. (Which I know you said you just had it on hand) OSB, or Plywood is a 100x better. And if your going to put in the labor, I wouldn't worry about wasting a renewable resource, I'd worry about wasting my efforts (my time which isn't renewable)...cause that time you spent building, even if you can do it again, your not going to get that time back. The workbench looked nice when it was finished, though. I've never tried, but can you stain particle board? And make it last longer?

  • You can also consider making a box with a directional flow inlet so you can make the sawdust collect neatly and be disposed or saved properly for later. It can be small enough to fit on the backside but still look presentable with the table.

  • @JerryRigEverything Very nice job sir. Good to see ingenuity in action ;) always rigging something! I have been wondering throughout the video though why you are using an old porter cable NiCad driver.. is it to conserve a tool? That would be in your nature for sure, I could see that. But if not the reason I can have to be honest brother - you are missing out on some updates tools to make your life SO much easier! :) Perhaps you are aware, perhaps not.. but impact drivers are now the mainstay and go to for driving and even drilling. They are more compact, faster, and have a lot more force. In addition, in the past few years they even have “oil chambered” impact drivers that still produce a fair amount of force without the clack of standard impacts. Milwaukee has the Surge (highly recommend in 12vor 18v, and Makita has the 18v Oil Impulse. Rigid and DeWalt make one but team red and blue are the best. With brushless technology and new driver systems, even most 12v lines have more power then the 18v did 6 years ago. If your ha keeping for much needed change, Check out Milwaukee’s 12v line. Guarantee if you had a few brushless 12V tools, from them you would say to yourself it’s one of the best changes in power tools you ever did. Lightweight, powerful, easy to handle. Happy rigging Cheers mate

  • No, you want to build with wood because it captures the carbon. If you burn it or let it rot it releases the carbon into the atmosphere. You want to build everything from wood and replant.

  • Great table Zack, love the video. I'm a great fan of your second channel and the work you did here is very reminiscent of that. If I can offer you one piece of advice it would be this: seal the MDF. While it's a very versatile and reliable product, the fibres are also horrific for your lungs. Because you're using it for a work top, and pushing material across it constantly, it will rub off fibres unless it is sealed. I recommend using a varnish or something like danish oil. Just be sure not to use a water based finish; as this will swell the top and likely warp it. Sealing it will also prevent the top from swelling from any moisture in the air (if that's an issue where you live). Looking forward to more of these videos! Much love from Scotland.

  • It's still hilarious that people believe humans can do something about global warming or climate change lol. Humans haven't actually caused that much damage to earth. We've done some damage to the air, however, there are plenty of trees still around to completely refresh our entire atmosphere every 22hrs so yeah, calm down lol. If you look at unbiased science you quickly realise that global warming isn't actually as bad as it's made out to be nor have humans actually contributed that much to it. Little facts like a single volcanic eruption releases more harmful gases into the atmosphere than humans have since the dawn of man show that humans are pretty insignificant on earth as a whole. Other facts like the planet is actually getting greener not more brown also show that global warming is blown way out of proportion. Remain unbiased and your life will be far better.
